Telemedicine delivers health equity and improved patient outcomes.

Susan Monarez, current acting director at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has previous experience in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and worked at ARPA-H on AI applications for pop health and quality improvement. 

The company announced on Patch Tuesday that among 90 CVEs for August – including six zero-day exploits – the Azure Connected Machine Agent had a critical elevation of privilege vulnerability.

The federal agency has been receiving performance data from a cohort of funded health centers testing data exchange through standards-based APIs, according to ONC's USCDI program and the UDS Test Cooperative.

The agency is funding workforce development and data modernization efforts to improve health outcomes and promote health equity in rural and underserved communities.

The money will go toward telehealth, remote patient monitoring, digital patient tools and health information technology platforms at 29 community health centers around the country.

The Wisconsin health system has conducted almost 250,000 telemedicine visits since the start of the pandemic.

Funding recipients can use the money to bolster technology needs and employee capacity in response to the long-term effects of COVID-19.

The funding is aimed at broadening access to behavioral healthcare for children.
