Whether their skepticism is from a lack of interest or a lack of trust, it's possible – and valuable – to get clinicians enthusiastic about data-driven medicine, experts will show at HIMSS21.

"You have to address the people involved in the use of the tool, and more importantly those involved in the processes around medical devices and the tools to monitor and secure them," says one expert in a preview of his HIMSS21 presentation.

"Healthcare IT leaders need to understand the broad range of technologies at use across a hospital and assess which of these systems and machines they would detect attacks against, and where they would be blind."

At HIMSS21, a leader from Brigham and Women's Digital Innovation Hub will explain more about its hospital-wide crowdsourcing initiative, designed to elicit problem-solving ideas from frontline staff.
