The Big Box retailer announced that by the end of this year it will add 10 more HIV-focused specialty pharmacies, bringing the total to 80 in-store locations across 11 states.

The company is bringing medication price transparency to the provider at the point of care, says its CMIO, Dr. Andrew Mellin, who explains how that can offer patients big savings on their prescriptions.

The Florida health system has converted more than 7.3 million medication instructions without clinician intervention. The prescribing technology was able to infer missing instructions for subsets and identify high-risk medications, improving patient safety.

It is planned to be deployed at community centres and nursing posts.

This also allows patients to check medicines that have been prescribed to them in the past.

The revised telehealth rules will take effect in September.
