Boulder Community Health Chief Information Officer Michael Jefferies told HIMSS22 attendees about the challenges and triumphs of the partnership, which launched 18 months ago.

Europe’s hub for health data is expected to launch later this year, and patient groups are optimistic about its potential.

The Allscripts App Expo includes global tags and dedicated pages to promote more certified applications. HUB and Enlitic aim to secure health data and enhance patient care.

In a HIMSS22 panel, leaders from the Department of Veterans Affairs discussed the implementation of the agency's new electronic health record and their hopes for the future of the project.

Dr. Jackie Gerhart, a physician at Epic, sat down at HIMSS22 to discuss the electronic health record's massive research database and how its findings can shape individual services. 

ONC chief Micky Tripathi spoke at HIMSS22 alongside Dr. Daniel Jernigan, the CDC's deputy director for public health science and surveillance. Both see long-needed improvements ahead for data exchange and public health reporting.

"We continue to push the envelope of technology to deliver the highest value and to develop the future models of care," said the health system's chief health information officer.

The new standard will define electronic interactions among identity providers, electronic health record systems, health information exchanges, health information networks and a record locator service.

The EHR giant will integrate Google Health search and summarization technology to enable care teams to find information faster in the longitudinal health record.
