eClinicalWorks, of Westborough, Mass., the maker of ambulatory clinical systems, has announced that California Forensic Medical Group (CFMG), which provides health care to correctional facilities in 25 counties in the state, has selected its electronic medical records (EMR) system. Using eClinicalWorks will allow the group to streamline operations and improve the quality of care provided through reporting capabilities and the ability to share data across the counties. This will help in the continuity of care for inmates. The system will also permit providers to utilize chronic and preventative care measures, including those that are unique to this setting such as suicide watch alerts and detox monitoring. eClinicalWorks will also provide CFMG with intake process flows and a behavioral health module.
NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, Inc., a provider of healthcare information systems and connectivity solutions, has announced that it has executed an agreement with Aunt Martha's Youth Service Center to deploy NextGen EHR, NextGen Practice Management and electronic dental records from Quality Systems. Through its 17 community health centers (CHCs), Aunt Martha’s provides a full range of primary medical, dental and behavioral health services to more than 80,000 individual clients each year in suburban Chicago and central and western Illinois. Concentra, the Addison, Tex.-based provider of employer health care services, has announced that it will utilize Medical Informatics Engineering (MIE) to bring electronic health records (EHR) and employee health portal services to Concentra clients through its worksite health centers. Concentra has expanded its workplace service offerings to include primary care services, wellness programs and personal coaching, and MIE’s WebChart Enterprise Health EHR system, providing a comprehensive health care solution directly to employees. To date, the advanced information technology system has been implemented at five Concentra worksite locations, with more slated for implementation throughout 2010.
