Vendor Notebook - InnerWireless brings connectivity to FDA officials

InnerWireless, based in Richardson, Texas, has deployed a distributed antenna system (DAS) for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s new White Oak campus, giving more than 7,000 employees wireless connectivity to AT&T, Spring/Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon carriers for their government-issued and personal smartphones and Blackberry devices.

, based in Horsham, Pa., has launched the NextGen Certified HIT Consultant Program, designed to help healthcare providers achieve meaningful use of electronic health records to qualify for federal stimulus incentives.

MedeAnalytics, an Emeryville, Calif.-based developer of healthcare performance management solutions, has announced that St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md., has added the company’s Payer Performance Analytics solution to its suite of MedeAnalytics solutions. PPA is designed to provide daily insight into payer reimbursement trends, adjudication bottlenecks and the disputed claims appeal process.

Cordys, a Netherlands-based provider of business process innovation software, has been selected by Siemens Healthcare for managing and improving key logistics processes in 125 countries, including the United States, Germany and China. The Cordys solution is designed to automate key processes, including critical parts deliveries, returns, and customer feedback.

Merge Healthcare, a Milwaukee-based developer of data and diagnostics workflow solutions, has successfully deployed its etrials eDiary 5.0 platform to conduct a global Phase II urology clinical trial involving 750 patients for a global pharmaceutical company. The company has also announced that the Tri Hospital MRI Center of Port Huron, Mich., will use Merge’s radiology information system (RIS) to facilitate business workflow from scheduling through billing at Port Huron Hospital, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and St. John River District Hospital.

Digitech Computer, Inc., based in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., has announced that the Memphis, Tenn. Division of Fire Services will implement a complete field data collection system including Panasonic Toughbook computers with Image Trend Patient Care Reporting (ePCR) software to provide EMS billing services for more than 80,000 transports annually.

McKesson, headquartered in Atlanta, has announced a partnership with HP to accelerate and simplify electronic health record adoption at independent physician practices across the country. The companies will offer physicians McKesson’s EHR/practice management systems bundled with HP office hardware preconfigured for easy installation.
