eClinicalWorks, of Westborough, Mass., has announced that Rockville, Maryland’s Adventist HealthCare has chosen eClinicalWorks unified electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) system as an option for its employed and affiliated physicians in Maryland and New Jersey. Adventist also selected eClinicalWorks Electronic Health eXchange (eEHX), providing an electronic health records system that allows for access across the practices and the acute care system.
BIO-key International, a Wall, N.J.-based maker of finger-based biometric identification solutions, has announced the statewide expansion of the state of Minnesota’s eCharging pilot. This solution utilizes BIO-key’s WEB-key fingerprint biometric software for officers to establish their identity when electronically signing criminal complaints. The paperless eCharging system increases efficiency by allowing police officers and prosecutors to electronically transmit charging documents in real-time with the courts. The electronic delivery eliminates duplicate data entry and forms, and time and travel for document delivery.
Versus Technology, of Traverse City, Mich., has announced that Avera McKennan University Hospital is utilizing its Real-time Locating System (RTLS). With this system, Avera tracks over 1,500 assets for real-time equipment management. The Versus solution also integrates to the hospital’s nurse call system from Rauland-Borg, which allows Avera’s nurses to automatically register response to patient calls and report that they are with a patient just by virtue of their presence. Now, Avera is expanding the Versus solution to its new, comprehensive Surgery Center.

Agfa HealthCare, a Belgium-based provider of diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions, announced that it has signed an agreement with the Fundação Instituto de Pesquisa e Estudo de Diagnóstico por Imagen (FIDI) in Brazil for the delivery and installation of its digital imaging and healthcare IT solutions across the facility's 25 sites. This new agreement expands Merge’s partnership with CATO to provide additional technology for clinical trials management, as well as extending the relationship for an additional five years. The technology transfer program allows CATO to use the etrials EDC system to build and deploy custom clinical trial studies that leverage the powerful reporting capabilities of Merge’s technology.
