In the past month, Sydney-based iSOFT Group Limited has signed contracts with five new customers in Germany. Totaling $5.8 million, the contracts also include maintenance and support services for five years.

iSOFT Enterprise Scheduling, a solution aimed at improving resource management and appointment planning, will be implemented at the Verbundklinikum Landkreis Ansbach along with a Web portal intended to optimize online referrals and allow physicians secure access to patient records. The deal with iSOFT will support Verbundklinikum Landkreis Ansbach in its merger with nearby Ansbacher Hospital in two years.

By January 2011, both Stadtklinik Frankenthal and Rudolf Virchow hospital at Glauchau will make the switch to iSOFT's ClincCentre solution, enabling the availability of accurate patient and clinical information.

Additionally, iSOFT's BusinessCentre solution will be implemented at the 335-bed Rudolf Virchow hospital for financial accounting.

The iSOFT Laboratory will support 400 laboratory staff and 230 computer terminals at Universitätsklinikum Leipzig. An additional 500 terminals will be installed in approximately 60 wards and outpatient clinics.

The laboratory system will service all pathology departments, securing a standardized system with a single database to integrate with the hospital's existing HIS.

Radiologie Hannover will install iSOFT Radiology in two different sites for improved appointment scheduling and data sharing. The technology is designed to reduce delays in receiving images and reports, saving time and boosting quality of care.
