Achieving a successful implementation of health IT requires a little imagination.
That is what Secretary Aneesh Chopra, United States Chief Technology Officer, Associated Director of Technology, Office of Science & Technology Policy will declare in his opening keynote address.
Secretary Chopra's presentation, The Innovation Agenda and Health IT, will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, and will outline the importance of bringing cutting edge IT into the healthcare sphere.
As Secretary, Chopra has been an advocate for adopting innovative techniques to improve the quality of healthcare organizations, as well as creating standards for healthcare companies that will allow patients to easily access their own medical data. His keynote address will follow that dictum, and summarize the ways that healthcare providers can use inventive methods and technologies for achieving efficient, usable health IT systems.
Valuable to attendees of the conference will also be Chopra's call for collaboration, not only among peers within the healthcare industry, but also with government and business leaders.
Chopra believes in creating an open environment that will facilitate new ideas to better health IT.
