Hillingdon Hospital NHS (National Health Service) Trust has implemented Imprivata OneSign to provide 3,500 clinicians with faster access to patient information.
OneSign will facilitate clinical productivity with single sign-on technology (SSO), which provides users with a single point of secure authentication. Through this access point, physicians will be able to efficiently access a variety of applications, such as patient administration, pathology, radiology, and PACS. It is estimated that Hillingdon Hospital will eliminate 15 percent of its password-related help desk calls with the new technology.
OneSign integrates with existing IT infrastructures and includes support for workstations, roaming desktops, authentication options, password management, and more. The technology will also make it easier for IT staff to grant and revoke user access, and to use the program's auditing capabilities for greater security.
“Clinician productivity and patient data security are two of the primary IT concerns within the NHS today,” said Omar Hussain, CEO and President of Imprivata.
