The European Patients Forum (EPF), an organization of patient coalitions, recently launched a new website aimed at providing immediate access to health information for patients and patient advocacy groups.
The interactive website, www.eu-patient.eu, has been redesigned for ease of use and serves as a repository for information on research, health policy, and public healthcare. Fostering communication within the health community, the website could be a move towards an increase in EPF's influence and membership.
"This website reflects our commitment to keeping our members and readers with current information that can also support their work and their goals," according to EPF's president Anders Olauson. Representing 40 patient organizations and over 150 million patients across Europe, EPF promotes a patient-centered agenda within EU institutions through educational seminars, policy initiatives, and special projects.
