Certilytics debuts healthcare-specific LLM for genAI decision support

The focused large language model is designed to help provide caregivers and administrators answers to their questions based on their own organizations' data, the vendor's chief data scientist explained at HIMSS26.

Certilytics has launched CertHLM, an agentic artificial intelligence interface for its generative AI-powered healthcare decision support platform. The company made the announcement here at this week's 2026 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exposition in Las Vegas. Certilytics is in booth 6244 at HIMSS26.

Caregivers or administrators can ask a simple question and CertHLM searches through their organizations' data. The data platform synthesizes a complete answer, including practical recommendations, leadership-ready briefs, intervention opportunities and outcomes-driven strategies.

Getting complete answers

"CertHLM and the entire Certilytics platform help activate client data so users can obtain complete answers to any question pertaining to their data, whether that's claims, EHR, or other operational or performance data," explained Robert Dwyer, executive vice president and chief data scientist who holds a Ph.D. in computation biology.

"The new tool helps rapidly accelerate how quickly hospitals and health systems make operational and business decisions by searching answer-ready data to improve outcomes and support cost controlling measures at new speeds," he continued.

The platform previously has helped healthcare organizations identify future risks within their population, understand cost and outcomes saving opportunities, and improve network optimization, he added.

"Now, with agentic AI decision support, these organizations don't have to dig for answers, they can simply ask a question, get clear answers and expert guidance, and move to meaningful action and results quickly," he said.

Deploying genAI and agentic AI

Overall, the vendor's message at HIMSS is about how it is using genAI and agentic AI to redefine and improve how healthcare organizations get answers from their data and how quickly they can act and accelerate results, Dwyer added.

"Healthcare leaders are oversaturated by data, dashboards and warehouses," he noted. "What they really need are answers. What differentiates our tool from other AI chatbots is twofold: answer-ready data and healthcare-specific skills. Certilytics' ontological data platform converts disparate client data into an integrated data layer, complete with all the metadata AI needs to navigate and use it.

"This is what we call answer-ready data," he continued. "We also have invested heavily in providing CertHLM with custom, healthcare-specific skills, so users aren't just getting the vanilla reasoning ability of a generic large language model. For example, the new tool creates SQL queries on the fly when answering questions, informed by extensive insights, documentation and pseudo-code from the company's expert healthcare data analysts."
